At the meeting of the Council of Ministers of 21 November 2022, the Government confirmed the preferential rates of excise duty and the suspension, until 30 November 2022, of the application of the rate of excise duty on commercial diesel. The resources allocated to the extraordinary contribution to guarantee the continuity of the services provided by the local authorities in relation to the expenditure incurred for electricity and gas utilities have increased. The law decree further increases the Fund set up at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport intended to deal with increases in the prices of fuel and energy products, in relation to the provision of local and regional public transport services for passengers by road, lake, maritime and railway.
