Since 2018, in the Republic of Perú, the main source of legislation covering packaging and plastics is the Act No. 30884, that regulates single-use plastic and disposable containers or packaging; and which is supplemented and specified by its Regulation approved by the Supreme Decree No. 006-2019-MINAM.
The main objective and purpose of our legislation is to establish the regulatory framework on single-use plastic and other non-reusable plastics, and furthermore, to contribute to the fulfillment of the right to enjoy a balanced and adequate environment.
