El Salvador’s Ministry of Finance has announced the issuance of guidance following the entry into force of a new tax amnesty regime that was approved by the Legislative Assembly on 24 August 2022 and entered into force on 25 August 2022. The tax amnesty grants the opportunity for all taxpayers to normalize their tax situation with the payment of outstanding taxes due without interest, surcharges, or fines.
