In the revised national budget 2022, the government proposes to set aside NOK 46.5 million extra for VAT compensation for the construction of sports facilities.
– This makes it possible for teams and associations to create even more activity for children and young people in their immediate environment. Full VAT compensation for the construction of sports facilities makes local sports teams and associations across the country better off financially, says Minister of Culture and Gender Equality Anette Trettebergstuen.
With the increase of 46.5 million, the total grant for this pot is 345.5 million kroner. It will ensure full compensation for all approved applications submitted before the application deadline of 1 December 2021.
– Participation and meaningful leisure is important both for the individual and for society. The government is committed to working all the time for better conditions for both sports and physical activity for children and young people, says Trettebergstuen.
