The Act on amendments of the Act on the Value Added Tax Act (“Act”) was published in the official Gazette “Narodne Novine”, No. 39/2022 of 30 March 2022. The most significant amendments concern reduction, i.e., extended application of the reduced VAT rates on specific supplies, primarily energy products for heating, foodstuffs and menstrual products. The amendments are aimed to lowering tax burden of citizens and enterprises.
Implementing bylaw, Regulation on amendments of VAT Regulation (“Regulation”) was published in the official Gazette “Narodne Novine”, No. 42/2022 of 1 April 2022. It came into force on 2 April 2022.
