According to the draft amendment to the regulation published on March 7, 2022 by the Ministry of Finance, the rental of residential real estate to local governments will be exempt from VAT. The regulation is to enter into force on the day following its promulgation. Currently, the rental of residential real estate is exempt from VAT, if the tenants are social rental agencies.
