taly has published Decree-Law No. 17 of 1 March 2022 in the Official Gazette, which contains urgent measures to contain the effects of price increases in the electricity and natural gas sector, as well as measures for the development of renewable energy. The Decree-Law provides for the extension of the temporary super-reduced VAT rate of 5% on supplies of natural gas for domestic and industrial purposes in the period April, May, and June 2022. The super-reduced rate was previously provided for October, November, and December 2021, and subsequently extended to January, February, and March 2022.
