The Council Implementing Decision to authorize Belgium’s continued derogation from Article 285 of the VAT Directive (2006/112/EC) regarding its VAT exemption threshold for small businesses was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 21 January 2022. The decision authorizes Belgium to continue to apply its increased VAT exemption threshold of EUR 25,000 from 1 January 2022 until 31 December 2024.
