It is well known that in Greece, the Import VAT Deferment System & Reverse Charge Regime is implemented with great success. Namely, a multinational trade Group of companies set its goods in free circulation within Europe (upon the payment of custom duties to the Greek Customs Authorities), without VAT payment.
