The PT Tax Portal now allows for import and export declarations to be consulted directly.
Previously, import/export declarations were generally sent by the customs agents to the economic operators. This delayed bookkeeping and evidence of operations, adding operational burden to all parties in the supply chain.
The new functionality is specially relevant in indirect export cases (sales made for export in which the exporter is a third party, different from the seller), allowing economic operators to obtain the “exit certificate” as proof of export.
The import/export documents can be consulted at option “Consulta Declarações” of the PT Tax Portal.
