On Oct 1, 2021, the Sejm adopted a law implementing an e-invoice in Poland

On Oct 1, 2021, the Sejm adopted a law implementing an e-invoice in Poland! The House passed the proposal by a record 448-1 majority❗️

🏆I am glad that an agreement across divisions turned out to be possible during the work on such an important project as e-invoicing.

💯 Poland is a European pioneer here – we are only the fourth EU country to make an e-invoice available, after Italy, Spain and Portugal. After us, it will be implemented, among others, by France and Germany.

📅 From January 2022, the e-invoice will operate in a voluntary formula, in addition to paper and electronic invoices, and after a one-year pilot it will become an obligatory tool in 2023.

💡 E-invoice will not only shorten the life of carousels #VAT from several months to several weeks, but it is above all a great convenience for companies.

What are its advantages❓

👉 ACCELERATION OF TURNOVER: the e-invoice will not get lost, there will be no need to issue duplicates. You will not have to wait for confirmation of its receipt by the contractor because both parties to the transaction will see it in the system.

👉 CONVENIENCE: Each e-invoice is structured – it will have the same format. You will not have to look for important data on it, e.g. the price of goods or tax rates. It will always be on the form in the same place.

👉 FASTER VAT REFUND: Companies choosing an e-invoice will become trusted taxpayers and will be treated as such. Thanks to this, they will receive a VAT refund 1/3 faster. The waiting time will be reduced by 20 days, from 60 to 40.
