Deloitte team joins eClear tax technology specialists to support new lab in Cologne
Berlin, August 10, 2021 – Patrick Frenzel, Bernd Mayer and Lars Franke will assume responsibility for eClear AG’s newly created Tax Technology Innovation Lab on August 16. This team previously worked at the professional services network Deloitte and will drive the further development of eClear products in Cologne. Patrick Frenzel will head the new unit as Vice President Tax Technology Innovation Lab and report to eClear CTO Oliver Port. Together with Bernd Mayer (Head of Digitalization Projects) and Lars Franke (Tax Innovation Manager), Frenzel will work closely with the eClear development team and Susana Diaz (Vice President Technical Product Management).

Frenzel served as Director of the Tax & Legal Garage at Deloitte after March 2020. From 2010-2020, he was Managing Director at ITax Concept Consulting GmbH and at the Cologne office of WTS ITAX GmbH, which was founded in 2013. There he was responsible for the IT unit and directly involved in the design, development, sales and client implementation of standard software used in a wide range of tax-related fields, including VAT, transfer pricing, payroll and withholding tax. As long-standing team members, Bernd Mayer and Lars Franke supported the conception and development of these solutions.
Most recently, the three team members worked in the Deloitte Garage for Tax & Legal. This unit deals with the digital transformation process in the field of tax and law and develops new business models and services.
The team will now contribute their years of experience in the design and development of digital tax solutions to advance eClear product innovations.
