The Cyprus Tax Department issued a release on 23 July 2021 regarding the program for settling outstanding tax debts. The program was first introduced in 2017 and subsequently extended by Law No. 79 (I) of 2021 to cover eligible taxpayers impacted by COVID-19 in relation to outstanding tax debts relating to the period 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2019. The release confirms that the program may be applied for up to 29 April 2022 through the government web portal “Ariadne” by qualifying taxpayers.
