Petition for lower VAT rate for fruit and vegetables has already been signed 40,000 times

The petition from supermarket chain Dirk van den Broek for a lower VAT rate on fruit and vegetables has already been signed more than 40,000 times in a week. Dirk van den Broek wants the VAT rate for fruit and vegetables to be reduced from 9 to 6 percent.
