The VAT registration process commenced on 1 February 2021. Businesses with actual or expected annual taxable turnover exceeding OMR 1 million, as well as businesses with annual purchases exceeding OMR 1 million, must register for VAT within the period from 1 February 2021 to 15 March 2021, with such registration effective as from 16 April 2021.
