European Parliament approved the use of the prefix “XI” for Northern Ireland

The European Parliament approved the use of the prefix “XI” for Northern Ireland on Nov 11, 2020. The Council is now expected to formally adopt the new Council Directive so that it can be implemented before the transition period ends on 31 December 2020.
