The OECD announced the release of the annual report from Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) for 2020 on 28 September 2020. TIWB is a joint initiative of the OECD and the United Nations Development Programme to strengthen the auditing capacity of developing countries and increase tax compliance from multinational enterprises worldwide, and the report covers TIWB’s achievements from January 2019 to June 2020. Despite the challenges presented by the coronavirus (COVID-19), the report indicates that TIWB is continuing to support developing countries in increasing their tax revenue, and that TIWB assistance has resulted in more than USD 537 million in additional revenue for developing countries up to June 2020.
