On September 12, 2020, the Ecofin Council will discuss the discussion within the OECD about the taxation of the digital economy and what consequences this has for any further steps in the EU. The Netherlands believes that any European initiatives in this area should aim to support the progress of the global discussion on the digital economy as much as possible. Minister Hoekstra of Finance writes this to the Lower House.
