HMRC relaxing payment of deferred VAT and duty beyond 15th April if applied for now

HMRC issued another notice on 11 April about a Covid 19 relaxation for importers to extend the date when they must account for import VAT and duty beyond the 15th April deferment date. But they would need to act urgently as the note sets out below. For affected businesses, urgent action needs to be taken as set out below.
