VAT grouping – recovery of input tax
It is accepted by HMRC that the Operating Costs are recoverable as input tax to the extent that they relate to the economic activity undertaken. Since the Tribunal has not found that separate economic and non-economic activities are undertaken here it must follow that these costs are recoverable in full. For the reasons set out above, the Appellant’s appeal is allowed.
