The Chinese Ministry of Finance Oct. 9 announced an increase to 15 percent from 10 percent in the input tax deduction, effective from Oct. 1, 2019, to Dec. 31, 2021, for businesses receiving over 50 percent of their overall revenue from the service industry. The letter also explained the calculation formula for the VAT plus deduction policy.
