The tax authorities in Guatemala and around the world are in the process of adapting to the use of information and communications technology and the digitalization of the economy. The Guatemalan authorities have begun digitalizing tax administration by implementing electronic filing for tax returns, and they gradually are rolling out mandatory electronic invoicing.
