Italian VAT to rise to 24% by 2016 | Taxback

In order to meet its financial targets the Italian government has confirmed a VAT increase of a potential 2% by 2016. This will raise the Italian VAT rate to 24%.The announcement has been made as the country fails to control its finances. A further increase up to 26.5% may occur by 2018 if Italy doesn’t meet its financial targets.
