GST InvoiceNow Requirement- mandatory implementation has begun for some businesses

  • Mandatory GST InvoiceNow Implementation: Starting November 1, 2025, newly incorporated businesses that voluntarily register for GST must transmit invoice data to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) through Accredited Access Points, marking the beginning of mandatory participation.
  • Phased Timeline for Compliance: Initially, the requirement applies only to businesses incorporated within six months prior to their GST registration application. From April 1, 2026, all new voluntary GST registrants, including limited liability partnerships and sole proprietorships, will also need to comply, regardless of their incorporation date.
  • Future Expansion of Requirements: IRAS plans to progressively extend mandatory participation to all new compulsory GST registrants and other GST-registered businesses, with additional timelines to be announced for broader implementation.
