The Sejm passed a law introducing the KSeF

  • The Polish Sejm has adopted a law to implement a mandatory National e-Invoicing System (KSeF), set to be rolled out in two phases: for large taxpayers starting February 1, 2026, and for other entrepreneurs from April 1, 2026. Small taxpayers will have until January 1, 2027, to comply.
  • During the transitional period until the end of 2026, businesses can continue issuing invoices via cash registers, and penalties for errors will be postponed, along with the requirement to include the KSeF number in e-invoice transfer titles.
  • The new legislation also reduces the basic VAT refund period from 60 days to 40 days, aimed at enhancing financial liquidity for businesses.
