The International VAT Association’s Autumn conference will take place in Helsinki on October 23–24, focusing on the European Commission’s latest initiatives, particularly the ‘VAT in the Digital Age’ package. Our panels of speakers will also delve into the implications of digitalisation on VAT policy and the challenges posed by digital platforms. The conference will feature insights from representatives of tax administrations and businesses, offering diverse perspectives on the evolving VAT landscape. Key topics include electronic invoicing, the intersection between VAT and EU customs law, how to ensure high tax compliance, the broader transformation of the VAT system in response to technological advancements, EUCJ cases and many other topical subjects.
