Algeria establishes reporting requirements for data on physical goods production

  • New Reporting Mandate: A joint ministerial order mandates that all Algerian-registered companies in the industrial sector report biannual data on physical goods production and inputs via a digital platform managed by the Ministry of Industry, effective from July 1, 2025.
  • Compliance Deadlines and Reporting Obligations: Newly registered companies must report within three months of registration, while established companies have three months from the order’s publication. Reports must include details on staff distribution, production volumes, and influencing factors, with specific reporting periods set.
  • Penalties for Noncompliance: Companies failing to meet reporting requirements or providing false information face fines of 1,000,000 Algerian Dinar, which double for repeat offenses. Continued noncompliance may lead to audits, loss of industry support, and public listing in a national file.
