The Swedish Ministry of Finance referred a draft bill to the Legislative Council to implement DAC8, aligning crypto-asset reporting obligations with the OECD’s CARF and amended CRS standards.

DAC8 introduces reporting and due diligence obligations for crypto-asset service providers to enhance transparency and facilitate automatic exchange of tax information, effective following European Council approval in October 2023.
