The Swedish Tax Agency expressed strong support for the accelerated adoption of e-invoicing across the European Union, stating it would significantly enhance efforts to prevent VAT fraud.
ViDA, which was approved earlier this year, introduces several key measures:
- Mandatory e-invoicing
- Single VAT registration for EU businesses
- Platform VAT reporting obligations
