- Mandatory B2C E-Invoicing Requirement: Romania’s mandatory B2C e-invoicing reporting requirement began on January 1, 2025, with new services added to the e-Factura system to assist businesses.
- New Upload URL: A new B2C invoice upload URL will become mandatory from March 31, 2025, enhancing the reporting process for both test and production environments.
- Voluntary E-Invoicing and Soft-Landing Period: Since July 1, 2024, businesses could voluntarily issue electronic B2C invoices, with a soft-landing period in effect until March 31, 2025, during which penalties for non-compliance will not be enforced.
