- Starting from the November 2024 tax period, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) will implement pre-filled VAT returns for all VAT registered taxpayers to simplify the VAT return filing process.
- VAT registered taxpayers are required to confirm the accuracy of their pre-filled VAT returns for November 2024 before submission on or before 20th December 2024.
- Taxpayers are reminded of their obligation to issue electronic tax invoices and transmit the details to KRA, as unvalidated input VAT claims will not be allowed for deduction; KRA will continue to support taxpayers in complying with these requirements.
