- Mandatory Validation Starting November 2024: Businesses in Egypt must validate buyers’ Tax IDs and Unique Identification Numbers (UINs) through a new digital system for B2B sales starting November 1, 2024, crucial for zero-rated transactions to enhance VAT compliance and reduce fraud.
- Automated Real-Time Process: The validation process will be automated and conducted in real time via API integration with the Tax Authorities’ system, ensuring instant validity checks.
- Registration Requirements: Non-resident businesses providing digital services must register with the Tax Authorities via a simplified process to access the validation service. Local businesses acquiring digital services from foreign companies also need to obtain a UIN, with applications available on the TA website from October 1, 2024.
