The District Court of Amsterdam ruled that it had not been sufficiently established that X made an active or passive contribution to cat-catcher constructions, leading to a full acquittal for filing incorrect VAT returns and forgery of documents. X trades in used cars internationally, and criminal investigations have been ongoing against a business relation and two of their contacts. The court found that X’s administration was in good order, and the discrepancies between delivery and business addresses were plausibly explained by the nature of the international car trade.
