The European Union (EU) is preparing to abolish the €150 duty-free threshold for imported low-value products, a measure aimed at Chinese e-commerce giants Temu, Shein and Alixexpress. The EU claims that such products increase safety concerns for consumers and wants to reshape its trade policy to address challenges from the control of safety and quality of products to international trade dynamics.
