The Belgian Ministry of Finance has passed a new mandate set to take effect on 1 January 2026, requiring taxpayers to comply with electronic invoicing using the Peppol Framework. Taxpayers must acquire a certified service provider to comply. The Ministry also offers tax incentives, including a 20% increase in investment deduction for digital investments from 2025 and 120% cost deductions for SMEs and entrepreneurs using invoicing-related technology and packages from 2024 to 2027. An FAQ page has been published to assist taxpayers with any questions regarding e-invoicing.
