In June 2024, we spoke with Snap Inc.’s customers Jon and Nicola about their tax department’s evolution from a single-person team to a highly efficient unit. The webinar highlighted Snap’s high-performance culture focused on collaboration, efficiency, and clear goals, as well as the importance of Indirect Tax in today’s digital economy. Jon is the Head of Tax at Snap and has been with the company for over eight years. Nicola is the Global Indirect Tax Lead with over 20 years of experience in VAT. The Snap tax team consists of only 12 people, split into three organizations: tax planning, income tax operations, and global indirect tax. The team is primarily senior-level, ensuring efficiency.
