Latvian Ministry of Finance (MoF) has published draft amendments to the Accounting Law to implement mandatory B2B and B2G e-invoicing in Latvia. Taxpayers will need to issue e-invoices following the EN 16931 standard for goods or services supplied to a recipient in the country. The MoF plans to develop a decentralized CTC e-invoicing model allowing three invoice exchange methods. The timeline for implementation is by January 2025 for B2G transactions and by January 2026 for B2B transactions. Technical documentation on e-invoice exchange is yet to be announced by the Cabinet of Ministers (CM).
