Ministry of Finance issued the ”Summary of the KSeF audit” and announced new dates for E-Invoicing mandate

  • The external audit of the National e-Invoice System (KSeF) has been completed at the Ministry of Finance, which revealed critical errors in the implementation of the project.
  • The new launch date of the mandatory KSeF assumes a phased implementation of the mandatory e-Invoice.
  • KSeF will be mandatory from February 1, 2026 for entrepreneurs whose sales value (including the tax amount) exceeded PLN 200 million in 2025, and for other entrepreneurs from April 1, 2026.

The KSeF system is of key importance for the security of economic transactions. Back in December 2023, my predecessors assured me that the system was ready for implementation on July 1, 2024. However, the decision to conduct an audit turned out to be the right one. The research report contains several hundred detailed information about errors, comments and recommendations regarding the architecture, source codes and database. As the Ministry of Finance, we are responsible for the safe functioning of economic transactions, therefore, based on the results obtained, we decided to significantly postpone the deadline for the mandatory KSeF. One of the post-audit recommendations was to phase the project, i.e. its gradual implementation. It will be mandatory from February 1, 2026 for entrepreneurs whose sales value exceeded PLN 200 million KSeF in the previous tax year, and for other entrepreneurs from April 1, 2026.

said Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance.
