You can use the VAT exemption scheme for small businesses if your turnover subject to the normal VAT regime did not exceed 25,000 euros in the past calendar year and you meet the other conditions. With this scheme you are exempt from most VAT obligations.
Would you like to take advantage of that arrangement? If your turnover in 2023 did not exceed 25,000 euros, you will receive a letter ‘Application of the VAT exemption scheme’ during the month of May. This contains more information about the conditions and modalities of that arrangement. You will find that letter in MyMinfin: you log in and click on ‘My documents’.
Do you meet the conditions and would you like to opt for that arrangement? Submit your application to change the VAT scheme before June 1, 2024 via the e604 application(external link)> ‘Change VAT identification’ > ‘Regime’.
