The UAE tax authorities announced further details of a proposed decentralized electronic invoicing system, setting a go-live date for July 2026. Comarch representatives met with a UAE Ministry of Finance representative during the Exchange Summit in Dubai. The proposed introduction schedule includes development of SP’s Certification Requirements and Procedures, draft technical details release in Q3’2024, E-invoicing legislation release in Q2’2025, rollout strategy release in Dec 2025, and go-live for reporting in July 2026. The system is inspired by the French 5-corner solution and will initially cover domestic B2B and B2G transactions, with the potential addition of a B2C component later on. Additionally, there are new and upcoming regulations for e-invoicing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
