Starting from May 15, 2024, the Mauritius Revenue Authority is implementing mandatory electronic invoicing for taxpayers with a turnover exceeding 100 million rupees. Taxpayers must use a certified Electronic Billing System to send electronic invoices and receipts to the MRA e-Invoicing Platform. The process involves validation by the MRA, generation of unique codes, and then sending the documents to recipients. There will be a phased implementation based on taxpayer turnover, with the opportunity for voluntary participation.
