The Romanian Ministry of Finance is actively working on improving the national e-invoicing system, focusing on harmonization with invoicing service providers and inviting industry leaders to discuss necessary improvements. As of 1 January, new requirements for issuing invoice data to the RO e-Factura have been implemented, including the removal of duplicate invoices and the introduction of self-billing. Additionally, further legislation has been passed to address fiscal measures and electronic invoicing in Romania.
