The government’s plan to introduce electronic invoicing and digital reporting for B2B transactions has faced challenges due to opposition from the Senate. The Senate proposed a timeline for implementing e-reporting and e-invoicing for all categories of taxpayers within B2B operations. However, there is no consensus between the legislative chambers, so a joint committee will be involved to resolve the differences. The Senate also adjusted the proposal from the National Assembly, leaving open the possibility for the government to postpone deadlines for Digital Reporting.
