Starting December 31, 2024, the qualified electronic signature of PDF invoices will be mandatory in Portugal
The Assembly of the Republic, through Article 182.º-A, extends the validity of PDF invoices until December 31, 2024. From January 1, 2025, the authenticity and integrity requirement will be mandatory, according to Article 12 of Decree Law No. 28/2019, requiring taxpayers to use a qualified electronic signature, a qualified electronic seal, or an electronic data interchange (EDI) system.
