The Polish Ministry of Finance has released two draft regulations for the implementation of e-invoicing via KSEF. The regulations are set to take effect on July 1, 2024, with the exception of the provision for VAT-exempt taxpayers, which will be effective from January 1, 2025. The updates include the use of QR codes, provisions for offline invoice issuance, and new authentication methods. VAT-exempt taxpayers will now need to include the NIP numbers of both parties in their invoices. Businesses need to prepare their systems and adjust their processes accordingly. The Ministry will also publish the technical specifications for QR codes in the coming days, and stakeholders can submit their comments on the documentation until December 18, 2023.
