From 1 January 2024, non-VAT-registered taxpayers in Kenya must use the electronic Tax Invoice Management System (eTIMS) to generate and transmit their invoices to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). Failure to do so will result in the disallowance of expenses for tax purposes. The KRA issued a public notice on 17 November 2023 to inform businesses of this requirement.
