- As of August 2022, the Italian Customs Authority released new features for exporters in their electronic management of export declarations.
- The new export service allows for the acquisition, amendment, and cancellation of customs declarations, as well as electronic submission before presenting the goods at the export office.
- The reengineered applications also allow for more than 40 items per declaration (up to 9999 items) and centralized customs clearance.
- However, “groupage” export operations and combined export declarations with transit regime are no longer possible.
- The deadline for the new export services was initially set for March 1, 2023, but has been postponed.
- Traders can choose to adhere to the new functional phases until November 6, 2023, after which adherence becomes mandatory.
