The Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) is reviewing Resolution Nos. 272 OE and 277 OE, as well as Bill No. 286 SE, along with Bill No. 286 SE, which propose reducing the VAT rate from 20 percent to 5 percent on food items (excluding alcohol) and on medicines, including those for cancer treatment.
