- The UK government has released its final plans for the new Border Target Operating Model, which will introduce remaining sanitary and phytosanitary controls and full customs controls for non-qualifying Northern Ireland goods.
- The implementation of the Model has been delayed from October 2021 to January 2024 following input from public consultation.
- The newly introduced controls will have a revised timetable with milestones set for January, April, and October 2024.
