In an increasingly digital Europe, citizens, businesses and the public sector need a regulatory framework that provides security and legal certainty in electronic activities. These security mechanisms are included in Regulation No. 910/2014, known as eIDAS. This new regulation grants electronic documents the same status as traditional paper ones. The standard also states that in order to preserve them over time, it is necessary to have a certified and trustworthy document custody system.
In this White Paper we present the new qualified electronic trust services, highlighting the electronic document custody services:
- eIDAS Regulation.
- The case of Long-Term Electronic Storage (LTA)
- Application of the regulations: Practical cases.
